Résumé

This paper presents the choices made with regard to the design of a centralized database for configuring the next generation of substation automation system at TransÉnergie, Hydro-Québec. After a brief description of the available approaches for integrating the IED XML description into an Oracle database, this paper presents some examples of modelling and design whose gaol is the standardization of IEC 61850 IED at TransÉnergie.
