Résumé
To celebrate their grandmother’s birthday, Lucassie and Siaja want to give her some unforgettable gifts. They head for Tutjaat, the walrus island! This story for young people, inspired by an Inuit oral tale, was co-written and illustrated by students from Nuvviti School during a workshop in Ivujivik, Nunavik. It focuses on how to prepare igunaq, fermented walrus, by telling the story of a sea journey taken to preserve and share this culinary tradition in the community of Ivujivik, Québec’s northernmost village.
